Billing and promotion codes

You subscribe to a plan from Settings → Billing. Choosing a plan opens Stripe’s secure checkout page. When checkout finishes, you come back to Erdo and the plan’s monthly credits are added to your organization.

Using a promotion code

If someone gave you a promotion code, enter it on the Stripe checkout page. Look for Add promotion code under the order summary. The total updates straight away, so you can see what the code covers before you confirm. Stripe applies each code’s own terms, including:
  • which plans it covers;
  • how many months the discount lasts;
  • how many times it can be used;
  • when it expires.
If a code doesn’t apply to the plan you picked, or has expired or been used up, the checkout page tells you, and you can choose another plan or remove the code.

When Erdo asks for a card

Stripe asks for a payment method only when something is due today. If a promotion code covers the whole first payment, you can start your subscription without entering a card. When the discount ends, the next invoice is due in full. Stripe emails it to you, and it also appears in the invoice list under Settings → Billing. Pay it from the invoice’s link to keep the plan, credits and automations running. If an invoice goes unpaid, the subscription stops renewing. Your organization and its data stay as they are.

Buying credits and auto top-up

Buy Credits charges your saved payment method. If your subscription doesn’t have one, for example because a promotion code covered the first payment, you pay on Stripe’s checkout page instead. Credits paid by card arrive straight away. Credits paid by bank debit arrive once the payment clears. Auto top-up adds credits when your balance runs low by charging your saved payment method, so it can only be turned on once your subscription has one. If it doesn’t, the toggle tells you.

Changing plan

Settings → Billing shows your current plan and credits, lets you switch plans, and lists every invoice with a link to view or pay it.
