Erdo’s Slack app lets people ask agents questions from a channel, thread, or direct message. Agent replies stay in the Slack thread and include a link to the full conversation in Erdo. When a reply is attributed to a built-in agent, Slack shows that agent’s name and photo. System notices and older replies without agent attribution continue to use the Slack app’s default identity.

Reinstall after the identity update

The agent name and photo require Slack’s chat:write.customize permission. Existing installations do not receive a newly requested permission automatically. Disconnect and reinstall the Slack app from Data & connections after this update. During installation, approve the new permission. Until the app is reinstalled, Slack may reject attributed replies because the existing bot token does not include chat:write.customize.
