Upload the highest-quality source video to Knowledge and use that attachment on your landing page. Erdo prepares playback versions in the background and keeps the original available while processing finishes. Landing-page videos choose their quality from the size of the video on the page and the display’s pixel density. Large elements can use a rendition up to 1920 pixels wide; smaller elements use the normal rendition up to 1280 pixels wide. Erdo never enlarges a video beyond its source width. When the browser reports Save-Data or a slow mobile connection, the video uses the normal rendition. Browsers without connection reporting can use HD when the displayed video is large enough. If HD is still processing or unavailable, playback uses the normal rendition, then the original if needed. Muted background loops begin loading after the page loads, so they do not compete with the initial page content. They use the same quality selection as other Knowledge videos. Videos embedded through an external URL keep that URL’s playback behavior.
